This stabilizer has a motorized assembly containing a rolling brush, an autotransformer as a voltage regulator, and a buck-boost transformer. A servo motor is the integral part that moves the roller. 

In the roller-type servo stabilizer, the carbon brush moves in a rolling motion over the exposed tracks of copper winding in the autotransformer. This action happens when unexpected deviations are sensed in the circuit. There is minimal friction and therefore more than 98 % of energy is transferred to the load.
